Anego Bloopers

Akanishi Jin

I'm not a Jin fan (despite following him on Twitter), but I loved Anego, and I could watch it all over again (for the third time).  Kudos to whoever subbed this bloopers clip from the DVD.

Jin is a teddy bear thief

JinCrew (apparently the term for the core cast of Jin's American concert tour) member Aubree Storm posted this cute picture drawn by long term Jin fan @mickey_Gii.

She especially likes the bow in Jin's hair, and I agree, it is the coup de grace.

Bakanishi on Twitter

Akanishi Jin

It's really sad that Akanishi Jin made his twitter account private so you can't enjoy gems like this anymore:  Apparently this is not true (or rather, the time I saw it was a muck up, soon fixed) and you can continue to see his twitter feed (though if you're on facebook, liking his Facebook page might be more conveinant).  Still, enjoy this gem without having to dig through the feed.

Akanishi concert dates announced

Akanishi Jin

Two weeks after I complained about it, Akanishi Jin's US website has announced the US tour dates.  They are all in November.  Tickets go on sale in Ticketmaster on October 8.  Only in 5 cities, not the 7 promised (Anaheim and Vegas were dropped).
Edit: I didn't notice it, but as reported here, Jin is preparing to release a single, and then a solo album.

Where is that concert announcement?

Akanishi Jin

Just because the sight of him makes me angry face does not mean I do not check the Jin Akanishi website every other day for the announcement of the "US Tour" concert dates.  They are supposed to be in September and October, hitting 8 cities in the US.  If I were to tell the 100% truth, I delayed buying tickets for certain trips I have to make this year because of this.  (I try to keep to 60-70% truthiness normally.)

Bandage

Akanishi Jin

If you're a KAT-TUN fan, I'm sure you've seen Bandage floating around the past week, since the DVD just came out, and JE boy fans are nothing if not zealous.  Bandage, for you non-KAT-TUN fans, was the movie about a fictional 90's Japanese rock band, starring Akanishi Jin as the lead singer.  It was filmed in a rushed 3 months at the end of last year, and came out in theaters in January.

Old Jin news

Akanishi Jin

Towards the end of the video you can see the interview he gave at the last concert.  nanka mukatsuku.

AnAn

Akanishi JinKamenashi Kazuya

Although I can't keep track of Johnny's magazines, I can tell you that if you want naked/near naked official pictures of your favorite, you can do worse than checking out their An-An shoot.

Akanishi Jin fans usually keep scans of his spread (from Sept. 11, 2009) in their secret secret folder for repeated viewing, 1) because he sells sexiness and they buy it 2) because he went completely naked.

Kamenashi Kazuya's (from Feb. 10, 2010) was, in contrast, rather tame.  [retired gossip blog ChoScandalous says this about AnAn shoots (in particular, MatsuJun's shoot that retained his underwear): if you're gonna be on the cover of an an, you better get naked. That's just the law of the land.]

Seems official: Jin leaving KAT-TUN

Akanishi Jin

The news story, with English subtitles:

Jin leaving...?

Akanishi Jin

So this is really why I should pay attention; apparently during the latest tour, KAT-TUN was looking pretty weepy, and everyone thinks an official announcement of Jin leaving the group is inevitable.  No wonder the fans are going crazy.  I'm distressed that I'm never going to get a full KAT-TUN concert...  and of course, the fan sadness is infectious, I'm a bit more shocked than I thought I would be.  It's like...
