Kamiyama Ryuji

Kamiyama Ryuji

I feel like I don't have a good reason for liking Kamiyama Ryuji as much as I do, other than I've talked to him, and he was really sweet.  But whenever I think of him, I check his blog, and it just makes my day better (like this adorable post).  Properly speaking, he's not destined for greatness, he's the embodiment of a 3rd rate entertainer, most of his work comes from theater work in small productions, and maybe he sells some cds from his band, sometimes he rises above, but never far.  If you wanted to speak ill of him, there's probably a lot you could say.  He's got as much edge as a stick of butter.  But I like him, and I hope he achieves the things he wants to achieve.

PS: I also really love his NAME!

Kamiyama Ryuji

I am unaccountably fond of Kamiyama Ryuji.  He's a second class idol-type actor (he also, technically, sings, but mostly acting).  But even though he's second rate, he played Kyon to perfection in a theater version of Fruits Basket, which is where I first became acquainted with him.  Any girl whose watched Fruits Basket must love Kyon, to see him walking, talking, being all awkward angry cute was an absolute delight.
